The Romanian Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced an increase of 8.3 billion lei in the health budget following a budget rectification. Of this amount, 1.2 billion lei will go to the Ministry of Health and 7.1 billion lei to the National Health Insurance House (CNAS). The additional funds will support medical services, national health programs, and settle debts to hospitals and pharmacies. Rogobete emphasized that these funds will address urgent needs in the healthcare system, including emergency services and critical care. The CNAS may receive further funding in a second budget rectification to alleviate financial pressures on hospitals and ensure patient care.
