New traffic restrictions are being considered in Bucharest to reduce congestion during peak hours. Delivery and supply vehicles may be banned from public roads from 7 AM to 9 AM and 5 PM to 7 PM. The proposal aims to ease traffic flow, as these vehicles often stop for loading and unloading. Emergency and medical transport vehicles, as well as those delivering perishable goods, will be exempt. Violators could face fines ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 lei. If approved, the regulations could take effect on January 1, 2027.
