"Bucureștiul e cea mai poluată capitală din UE". Ciucu anunţă că, din 2027, maşinile poluante ar urma să fie interzise treptat în oraş

The Bucharest City Hall held a debate on air pollution, attended by environmental and health authorities and civil society. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu proposed two main measures: a phased restriction of polluting vehicles starting in the city center by November 1, 2027, and a gradual replacement of heating systems using wood and coal. The plan aims to ban non-Euro vehicles in the central area and progressively limit access for Euro 1 to 5 vehicles by 2032. Additionally, a financing program is proposed to assist residents in transitioning to cleaner heating systems by 2030. The measures will be made transparent and debated before being voted on by the General Council.
