București–Ilfov și poluarea: prima zonă cu emisii reduse, din 2027 / Ciucu: „Nu se poate fără Ilfov” / Găvan: „Nu suntem într-un acvariu”

The Bucharest City Hall plans to introduce a Low Emission Zone by November 2027, targeting older, polluting vehicles. Discussions highlighted the need for integrated approaches with Ilfov County, as pollution does not respect administrative borders. Prefect Andrei Nistor emphasized the importance of including Ilfov in environmental discussions, noting that pollution sources often originate from the neighboring county. The proposed measures include restrictions on non-Euro vehicles in central Bucharest, with a gradual extension to Euro 5 and Euro 3 vehicles by 2032. The need for a coordinated anti-pollution strategy between Bucharest and Ilfov was reiterated, with calls for a collaborative approach to address shared environmental challenges.
