The travel time between Bucharest and Bacau is currently about 2 hours and 11 minutes, with further reductions expected soon. Authorities are preparing to open an additional 46 kilometers of the A7 highway, enhancing connectivity. State Secretary Irinel Scrioșteanu confirmed the travel time and visited the construction site for the new highway section. The new segments will allow for approximately 286 kilometers of highway travel between the two cities, improving travel efficiency and safety. The expansion of the highway network in Moldova continues, with more sections expected to open by December 2025.
