Valea Saulei will soon be designated as the third protected natural area in Bucharest, alongside Văcărești Natural Park and Petrișcani Meadow. To celebrate this, the Bucharest Natural Park Association is organizing a cleanup event on October 10. Participants can register for free and will meet at Strada Gherghiței 114. The event includes an introduction to the area's history and ecology, followed by a cleanup activity. Afterward, there will be a picnic with the team. The area, which has faced illegal dumping, is crucial for biodiversity and is being prepared for legal protection. The local council has unanimously voted for its protection after five years of efforts.
