Bruxelles pregătește o schimbare cu efect de domino: Importurile și prețurile din UE, în centrul unei analize
The European Commission is assessing the potential impact of reducing pesticide residue levels in imported food and feed. A preliminary study evaluates effects on the market and producers in third countries, considering three hypothetical scenarios of producer adaptation to EU standards. If producers comply, market impact would be limited; otherwise, imports may decrease, affecting internal production and consumer prices. The analysis is preliminary, with further evaluations needed on social and environmental consequences. This study aligns with the EU's vision to prevent hazardous pesticides from entering the market through imports, aiming for greater reciprocity in standards.
