A 38-year-old man from Bucharest was arrested for defrauding a Brașov insurance broker by presenting false payment documents for car insurance policies. The broker discovered that the payments were never made after issuing the policies. The investigation revealed that the suspect had provided fake proof of payment, resulting in a loss of over 6200 lei. Following his identification, the suspect was detained for 24 hours on charges of fraud, forgery, and use of false documents. The case is ongoing under judicial control as directed by the prosecutor.
