BREAKING. Rata anuală a inflației scade la 8,2% în iulie

In July 2026, annual inflation decreased to 8.2%, marking a 2.2 percentage point drop. The main factor was energy prices, which rose only 3.39%. Services saw the highest price increases at 13.67%. Food prices increased by 5.03%, with coffee and eggs experiencing the largest hikes. The National Bank of Romania predicts a significant decline in inflation in Q3 2026 due to the effects of energy price cap removal. Overall, inflation is expected to gradually decrease, returning to target levels by the end of 2027.
