BREAKING | Rata anuală a inflației a scăzut semnificativ în august, la 6,2%

In August 2026, the annual inflation rate decreased to 6.2%, marking a significant drop from previous months. Energy prices saw minimal increases, while fuel prices surged. The highest price increases were noted in services, particularly rents and utilities. Food prices varied, with coffee and eggs experiencing notable hikes, while fresh fruit prices fell significantly. The National Bank of Romania anticipates further declines in inflation rates in the coming months due to the exhaustion of previous price support measures and economic adjustments.
