BREAKING | Rata anuală a inflației a scăzut semnificativ în august, la 6,2%

In August 2026, the annual inflation rate decreased to 6.2%, following a drop of 2.2 percentage points in July. The most significant price increases were observed in the 'Services' category, which rose by 11.28%. Non-food goods saw a 6.36% increase, while food prices rose by 2.62%. Coffee prices surged by 15.02%, with eggs and beef also experiencing notable increases. Conversely, fresh fruit prices dropped by 18.18%, and potatoes became 15.21% cheaper. Among non-food items, diesel and gasoline prices rose significantly, with overall fuel prices increasing by 17.03%. Service prices, particularly rents, saw the highest increases, with rents up by 39.7%.
