He urged voluntary consumption reductions and announced that companies like Dacia and Ford will halt production for maintenance to save energy. The government plans to prepare a reserve decision to limit consumption if necessary, notifying large consumers 24 hours in advance. Local authorities are also encouraged to reduce energy use, especially in public buildings. Meanwhile, Sorin Grindeanu proposed legislation to prevent the closure of energy production capacities without replacements, suggesting restarting two power groups to mitigate risks. Some believe Parliament could also save energy by working remotely.
