The Bisericani Monastery experienced another fire, occurring around 2 AM on October 1-2. Emergency crews responded to extinguish the flames, which affected several outbuildings. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported. This incident follows a previous fire in July that resulted in one worker's death and another injury. The monastery has faced multiple tragedies recently, including the death of its abbot in July. Additionally, a separate fire occurred at a waste recycling facility in Sibiu, requiring the efforts of 80 firefighters to control the situation.
