The Belt of the Virgin Mary will be brought to Bucharest from Greece for a pilgrimage at the Church of Saint Elijah Ghencea from September 30 to October 4, 2026. During this period, worshippers can venerate the Belt and the relics of Saints Iosif and Nichifor. The event aims to celebrate the Year of Christian Family Pastoral Care and the Commemorative Year of Holy Women. A series of services and lectures will be held, including discussions on the role of family in society and education. The program includes daily services, lectures by various scholars, and a concert of Byzantine hymns.
