This decision, adopted by the European Commission, was published in the Official Journal of the EU. The cheese, originating from Teaca in Bistrița-Năsăud County, is made from raw, unpasteurized cow's milk and involves traditional production methods. The registration ensures protection across the EU, linking the product to its geographical area and traditional production techniques. Romania now has several products recognized under European quality systems, enhancing the reputation of its traditional foods.
