Brânza frământată de Teaca a fost recunoscută ca produs protejat al României la nivelul UE

The European Commission has recognized "Brânza frământată de Teaca" as a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) from Romania. This cheese, made from raw cow's milk, is unique to Teaca, a village in northern Romania, and its production relies on local expertise passed down through generations. This designation marks the 18th traditional Romanian product to receive PGI status, joining over 3,900 protected names in the EU database. Romania previously had 17 protected agri-food products, with the latest being the "Babic de Buzău" sausage.
