Boxing: Cristi Casu wins gold medal at the U-17 European Championships

Romanian boxer Cristi Casu secured a gold medal in the 46 kg category at the European Under-17 Championships, defeating Hasrat Mamadov from Azerbaijan. Three other Romanian boxers earned silver medals after losing their finals. Alexandru Butan lost a close match in the 50 kg final to Armenia's Hakob Sarbatian. Alessia Onofras was narrowly defeated by Greece's Dimitra Karpozilou in the 63 kg category. Andreea Soare lost to Ukraine's Diana Polishchuk in the 80 kg final. Romania concluded the event with a total of six medals: one gold, three silver, and two bronze.
