Booomberg: Războiul şi condiţiile meteorologice extreme au provocat, în august, cea mai mare creştere a preţurilor produselor agricole, începând din 2012
Agricultural prices are set to rise significantly due to wars and extreme weather disrupting supply chains, raising food cost concerns. The Bloomberg Agriculture Spot Index has surged over 13% in August, marking the highest monthly increase since July 2012. Wheat prices have reached a three-year high due to attacks on Black Sea ports, while sugar and cocoa prices have also risen by about 20%. The ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia is severely impacting grain exports, leading to supply shortages. Adverse weather conditions and a strong El Nino phenomenon are further threatening crop yields, particularly in the U.S. and Europe. Additionally, tensions in the Middle East are raising concerns about fuel and fertilizer supplies, crucial for global agriculture.
