Boom-ul AI ar putea necesita investiții de 110 miliarde de dolari
A Moody's Ratings analysis indicates that the rapid expansion of data centers in the U.S. will require $110 billion in investments for new energy production capacities by 2030. Most of this capacity will come from natural gas plants, necessitating an additional 113 million cubic meters of gas. The electricity consumption of these centers is expected to double, reaching 10% of the total U.S. electricity consumption by 2030. The construction of new plants may increase electricity costs by $25-30 billion annually. Challenges include regulatory delays and the need for significant infrastructure development to meet the growing demand for electricity from AI and cloud computing technologies.
