Bomba de la Bruxelles: Parlamentul a adoptat legea decarbonizării. A presat direct premierul Bolojan • Newsweek România
The Romanian Parliament has approved a law allowing the construction of new coal power plants and delaying the closure of existing ones. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan warned that altering a milestone from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan could lead to penalties for Romania. The law was passed with 73 votes in favor, no opposition votes, and 42 abstentions. It still requires the President's promulgation to take effect. The initiative was pushed by PSD and AUR amid the energy crisis, despite concerns about compliance with EU commitments.
