Bolojan se întâlneşte joi cu reprezentanţii Standard & Poor’s

The dismissed Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan is meeting with a delegation from Standard & Poor’s to discuss Romania's sovereign credit rating, which will be announced on October 2. The interim Finance Minister, Alexandru Nazare, believes Romania has strong arguments to maintain its rating despite potential downgrades. S&P has warned that prolonged governmental impasse could lead to a rating reduction, with the current rating at 'BBB-/A-3' and a negative outlook. The agency noted that political instability complicates efforts to address Romania's high fiscal and current account deficits, although there is broad consensus for necessary reforms. The outlook remains negative due to high external financing needs and investor confidence risks.
