Bolojan respinge teoriile suveraniste că alte țări rețin apa Dunării: „N-au nicio legătură cu realitatea”
Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan dismissed theories suggesting that upstream countries are hoarding Danube water, causing low flow in Romania. He stated that the reduced flow is due to a lack of precipitation in the river's entire basin. Bolojan emphasized that such conspiracy theories are unfounded and highlighted the real issues affecting the energy system due to drought and low Danube levels. Recent social media claims have linked the low flow to various factors, including upstream water retention and construction works in Ukraine. Similar conspiracy theories have emerged regarding Lake Vidraru, which is undergoing controlled draining for safety upgrades.
