Bolojan, după instalarea platformei „Neptun Alpha”: România devine cel mai mare producător de gaze din UE

The installation of the 'Neptun Alpha' platform marks a significant step for Romania, positioning it as the largest gas producer in the EU. This offshore project, completed by OMV Petrom and Romgaz, is expected to enhance energy security in the region and support industrial revival. The platform, weighing over 16,500 tons and standing more than 225 meters tall, will facilitate gas extraction from the Black Sea, with operations anticipated to begin next year. The project aims to stabilize gas prices for households and support agricultural fertilizer production.
