Bolojan, despre prelungirea CASS-ului pentru pensii: Măsurile adoptate anul trecut trebuie menținute

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan discussed the extension of CASS contributions for pensioners amid concerns over salary changes in the public sector. He emphasized the need to maintain current measures to ensure healthcare funding. The topic arose after a European Commission expert suggested this approach, but the interim Minister of Labor stated Romania is not obligated to adopt it. Since August 1, 2022, pensioners earning over 3,000 lei have been paying a 10% CASS contribution on the income exceeding this threshold, a policy effective until December 31, 2027.
