Bolojan, despre construcția centralei de la Mintia: A avut loc prima aprindere a turbinei pe gaz nr. 1

Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced the first ignition of the gas turbine at the new Mintia power plant, marking a significant milestone in Romania's energy investments. The project is over 80% complete, with plans for synchronization to the national grid and the delivery of power soon. The two gas turbines will provide around 1,100 MW, contributing to a total capacity of approximately 1,700 MW after the combined cycle is finished. This investment aims to reduce energy imports and enhance domestic production, especially during peak demand periods. Bolojan emphasized the importance of continued collaboration among involved institutions to avoid delays in future stages.
