Bolojan, apel pentru reducerea consumului de energie după oprirea centralei nucleare de la Cernavodă
After the shutdown of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan urged major industrial consumers to reduce their energy usage, especially in the evening. He acknowledged that the situation necessitates increased energy imports. Bolojan explained that the plant requires sufficient water from the Danube, and current water levels are critically low. The decision to halt operations of both reactors was made due to these conditions, resulting in a significant loss of energy production. The peak consumption period remains between 8 PM and 11 PM, prompting a need for alternative energy sources and imports.
