Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan reported a decrease in evening energy consumption by 200-300 megawatts this week compared to previous years. He thanked citizens and companies for their responsible response to energy-saving calls amid regional drought and limited import capacity. Except for Wednesday, daily consumption was lower, with figures ranging from 7,300 to 7,700 megawatts, compared to 7,700-8,000 megawatts in normal years. Bolojan emphasized the importance of collective efforts to manage energy use effectively during this period.
