Bolojan acuză un blocaj de patru ani la Transporturi: Proiectul care putea salva Cernavodă de secetă a rămas în sertar
Former Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan claims that the crisis at the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant could have been avoided if a long-prepared project for redistributing the Danube's flow had been implemented. He criticized the Ministry of Transport for not executing the project, which would have increased water levels necessary for cooling the reactors. Currently, emergency measures are being taken to maintain Unit 2's operation, including dredging and rock removal. Bolojan urged the interim Transport Minister to expedite the project's revival, emphasizing its importance for future energy needs. The project aims to ensure sufficient water flow for cooling four reactors, addressing a long-standing issue of water distribution.
