AUR deputy Bogdan Velcescu criticized the PSD-PNL-USR coalition for rejecting 19 amendments aimed at maintaining transparency in asset declarations. He accused the coalition of political maneuvering to protect USR leader Dominic Fritz, who was recently convicted of conflict of interest. Velcescu argued that the new law absolves integrity inspectors of responsibility and undermines transparency. He also highlighted concerns about public officials' participation in local electoral offices and the potential removal of cash and digital asset declaration requirements. AUR will abstain from voting due to the rejection of their amendments.
