Bogdan Peschir, financier of Calin Georgescu's TikTok campaign, has been indicted for electoral corruption involving 874 acts. He allegedly provided benefits totaling USD 290,225 to influence voters during the 2024 presidential election. The prosecution claims he used TikTok to distribute gifts and cryptocurrency to sway voter opinions. Influencers were recruited to promote Georgescu's platform, receiving payments disguised as creative activities. Peschir's actions reportedly created a perception that supporting Georgescu would lead to receiving gifts. His name also appeared in documents linked to the annulment of the December 2024 presidential election, with significant financial contributions confirmed by the Romanian Intelligence Service.
