Bogdan Leu, ales președinte CIGRE Next Generation Network

Romanian engineer Bogdan Leu has been elected as the international president of CIGRE Next Generation Network for the 2026-2028 term. He aims to enhance youth involvement in technical and scientific activities within the organization. Leu, who has nearly nine years of experience in the energy sector, is currently a Research & Innovation Project Manager at Transelectrica. His election is seen as a recognition of both his professional contributions and the role of the Romanian CIGRE community on the international stage. The upcoming CIGRE 2026 Paris Session will address key energy sector challenges, including AI impact and cybersecurity.
