Bogdan Ivan rupe tăcerea despre întâlnirea cu ambasadoarea SUA: „N-aveam nevoie să vină americanii să-mi spună că Bolojan e o catastrofă”

Former Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan clarified that his meeting with U.S. officials was unrelated to Romanian politics or the removal of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. He emphasized that discussions focused on energy cooperation and the Vertical Corridor project. Ivan denied any connection between his talks and the PSD's decision to support Bolojan's ousting, asserting that he did not need U.S. approval for political actions. He requested explicit government instructions for ongoing negotiations regarding gas transit, which he did not receive. Ivan also refuted claims that the U.S. pressured Romania into gas purchases, stating discussions were exploratory and not binding.
