Bogdan Ivan: România are prețuri mari la energie pentru că nu a investit aproape deloc în stocare
Romania faces high energy prices due to a lack of storage capacity, according to former Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan. He emphasized the need for investment in energy storage to manage fluctuating renewable energy production. Ivan noted that the lengthy authorization process for storage projects hinders development. During peak consumption times, Romania resorts to energy imports, leading to significantly increased prices. He highlighted that imported energy costs can soar between 1,500 and 3,000 lei per megawatt during specific hours.
