The offshore production platform 'Neptun Alpha' has been installed in the Black Sea, marking a significant milestone for the Neptun Deep project. A 160-kilometer underwater pipeline is complete, with six out of ten production wells already constructed. Romania is set to begin natural gas extraction by 2027, with Neptun Deep being the largest gas project in the country, developed by OMV Petrom and Romgaz. Former Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan emphasized the project's importance during his tenure and noted that it has received political and financial support. Romgaz secured €500 million in capital market funding for strategic investments, including Neptun Deep.
