BNR to launch silver coin from Series "Romanian Painters" - Nicolae Tonitza on Monday

The National Bank of Romania is releasing a colored silver coin honoring painter Nicolae Tonitza, marking 140 years since his birth. The coin features his painting 'Yellow Flowers' and is the first rectangular coin issued by BNR. It has a face value of 10 lei, weighs 31.103 grams, and is limited to 500 pieces. Each coin comes with a booklet and authenticity certificate, priced at 1,150 lei. The coins will be available through BNR's regional branches.
