BNR lansează o nouă bancnotă cu valoarea de 100 de lei. De când va intra în circulație

The National Bank of Romania is set to release a commemorative banknote honoring Eugeniu Carada, marking 190 years since his birth. The polymer note, similar in size to the current 100 lei note, features a blue design with advanced security elements, including a transparent window displaying Carada's portrait. Limited to 16,000 pieces, it will be sold for 240 lei starting September 15, 2026, and can also be used for transactions. A special sheet with four notes will be available for 840 lei, including a certificate of authenticity.
