BNR lansează o monedă dedicată Hortensiei Papadat-Bengescu

The National Bank of Romania will release a silver coin on July 27, 2026, to commemorate 150 years since the birth of writer Hortensia Papadat-Bengescu. The coin has a nominal value of 10 lei and a limited mintage of 300 pieces, priced at 1,050 lei. It can be purchased at BNR regional branches or reserved online, while supplies last. The coin features a design inspired by the novel 'Concert din muzică de Bach' and includes the writer's portrait on the reverse. Although primarily aimed at collectors, it is also legal tender in Romania.
