The National Bank of Romania is issuing a silver coin to commemorate 150 years since the birth of writer Hortensia Papadat-Bengescu. Only 300 coins will be available, each with a nominal value of 10 lei. The coin features a design inspired by her work and includes her portrait along with her lifespan. It will be sold for 1,050 lei, including a presentation brochure and authenticity certificate. The coins will be available through various regional branches of the bank starting July 27, 2026.
