The National Bank of Romania will issue a commemorative banknote dedicated to Eugeniu Carada on September 14, 2026, marking his 190th birth anniversary. The banknote, valued at 100 lei, will be sold for 240 lei and features a polymer design with various security elements. It includes Carada's portrait and significant imagery related to the National Bank. A special sheet containing four banknotes will also be available for 840 lei. The total print run includes 16,000 individual banknotes and 1,000 special sheets. Sales will commence on September 15, 2026, through regional branches of the bank.
