BNR: Household deposits in lei fell in August; foreign currency savings rose

In August, household deposits in lei decreased by 0.4%, while foreign currency deposits saw a slight increase. Lending in foreign currency rose significantly by 17% compared to August 2025. Overall, non-government credit grew by 0.9% from July, with a notable annual increase of 8.2%.
