BNR explică explozia prețului la euro: De vină sunt politicienii și situațiile din Orientul Mijlociu
The BNR explains the recent surge in the euro exchange rate, reaching a historic high, attributing it to significant political instability and market fluctuations. The euro hit a record of 5.3527 lei on October 6, following a notable increase in late September and early October. BNR officials noted that interbank market rates experienced linear trends before adjusting upwards, influenced by both domestic political uncertainties and international conflicts. The fluctuations in medium and long-term government bond yields also contributed to the overall economic context, leading to the euro's rise against the leu.
