BNR anunță că inflația va crește pe finalul anului 2026: Va întrece toate prognozele
The National Bank of Romania warns of rising inflation, expected to exceed 6.1% by the end of 2026 due to energy and commodity price increases. Factors such as the Middle East conflict and severe drought are contributing to this inflationary trend. The Council noted that inflation risks remain upward, influenced by uncertainties in oil prices and other commodities. Recent inflation rates showed a decrease to 6.17% in August from 10.42% in June, attributed to the end of energy price caps and tax increases. The BNR decided to maintain the monetary policy interest rate at 6.50%.
