BNR a emis bancnota de 100 de lei care costă 240 de lei

The National Bank of Romania will issue a commemorative banknote and a special sheet featuring Eugeniu Carada, marking 190 years since his birth. The banknote, made of polymer, resembles the 100 lei note and includes various security features and graphics related to Carada. It will be available for collectors starting September 14, 2023, with a limited print run of 16,000 notes and 1,000 special sheets. The selling price for the banknote is 240 lei, while the special sheet costs 840 lei. Sales will begin on September 15, 2026, through regional branches of the BNR.
