Bloomberg: România se oferă să dea bani pentru a menține trupele americane pe teritoriul său
Romania has offered to cover part of the costs for maintaining US troops on its territory amid rising tensions in the Black Sea. The country plans to invest around 4 billion euros in the Mihail Kogalniceanu base to enhance military capabilities. Romania aims to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP, aligning with NATO goals, while currently allocating about 2.5%. France has also pledged support to Romania for countering drone threats in the Black Sea, following recent attacks on commercial vessels.
