Wheat futures have reached a three-year high due to attacks on shipping in the Black Sea region, impacting global grain trade. The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has intensified, raising concerns about food inflation. The Bloomberg Agriculture Spot index has also surged, reflecting these pressures. Chicago wheat contracts rose by 2.4%, reaching $7.2025 per bushel, with a 12% increase since the beginning of the month. Both countries account for over a quarter of global wheat exports, further complicating the situation.
