Bitdefender: Europa trebuie să investească în tehnologie

Andrei Florescu, CEO of Bitdefender, emphasized the need for Europe to enhance its technological competitiveness and invest in research during the Bucharest Cybersecurity Conference 2026. He argued that digital sovereignty extends beyond data storage to include control over technologies and legislative frameworks. Florescu highlighted the importance of fostering European investments in strategic technologies and the challenges of replacing non-European solutions. He called for government support to create a favorable business climate for innovation. Additionally, he pointed out the global competition in AI and the necessity for Europe to develop competitive advantages in emerging tech sectors. Bitdefender's commitment to R&D and support for Ukraine were also noted.
