During a recent trip in Egypt's Western Desert, a bedouin guide named Zidan discovered a glass bottle containing a 50-year-old ticket linked to Malta. The ticket, dated May 1977, was addressed to Tom Moran and included a request for information about him. A search led to Carmen Russiter, Tom's sister, who recognized her brother's handwriting. Tom Moran, who passed away in 1998, had lived in Marsascala and was known for his serious yet humorous nature. The discovery was significant for Ayman, Zidan's cousin, as it connected them to Malta and highlighted their ongoing exploration of historical desert routes. They aim to establish a desert expedition business to rediscover ancient caravan paths.
