The death toll from the recent earthquakes in Venezuela has risen to 6,125, with ongoing searches for missing persons. The earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5, struck La Guaira, causing significant destruction. Nearly 1,400 individuals remain unaccounted for, with estimates suggesting the number could reach 10,000. Demolition and cleanup efforts are underway, as 190 buildings collapsed and many more are deemed unsafe. Over 24,000 displaced individuals are currently in camps, prompting the Venezuelan parliament to pass a law to increase rental housing availability for those affected.
