A 45-year-old man from Brașov is under judicial control for smuggling jewelry worth over 5 million lei, aided by courier employees. He allegedly sold these items between 2024 and 2025, using false identities for shipments. The investigation revealed he bribed couriers with around 12,000 lei to facilitate the distribution of the contraband jewelry. Authorities have initiated legal action against him for bribery and smuggling offenses.
