The festival, known for its large beer mugs, will run from September 19 to October 4, with the mayor opening the first keg. Beer prices have been a hot topic, especially given their significant increase in recent years, with 1985 prices at just 3.20 euros per liter. Oktoberfest remains a key cultural event in Bavaria and one of the largest beer festivals globally.
